The West Parry Sound Recreation and Cultural Centre Joint Municipal Services Board hosted the highly anticipated Tamarack North Centre Hard Hat Sneak Peek Gala. As the construction managers entrusted with bringing this landmark complex to reality, the team at Ball Construction was absolutely thrilled to see the facility open its doors for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look.

The evening was a phenomenal success, proving that while we may have poured the concrete and assembled the framework, it is the spirit of the West Parry Sound community that will truly make this facility thrive.

A Final Push Toward Late Summer Opening

The Hard Hat Party served a vital purpose: acting as one of the largest and most critical fundraising efforts for the project as we enter the home stretch toward an official opening in late summer 2026.

Building a state-of-the-art facility requires a shared vision. While commercial, institutional, and municipal construction is what we do day in and day out, recreational complexes hold a uniquely special place in our hearts. They represent health, connection, family, and shared history.

With tickets priced at $200, the community stepped up in a massive way. It was wonderful to see a packed house of over 200 people show up to support the project, proudly sporting Ball Construction logo hard hats as they explored the space. Attendees understood that their contribution wasn’t merely admission to a single event, it was a direct investment in the completion and future legacy of the Tamarack North Centre. Every dollar raised during the evening helps fund the final push, ensuring that when doors officially open to the general public, the facility will be fully equipped to serve the regional community to its absolute highest potential.

The atmosphere inside the under-construction structure was electric. Striking the perfect balance between an active, professional construction environment and a premier gala, guests donned their safety gear to get a rare, firsthand look at the building’s progression.

Phenomenal Local Eats & Drinks: The event proudly spotlighted regional businesses, serving up delicious, fresh slices from Rosseau Pizzeria alongside amazing local craft beverages from Legend Spirits Company & Trestle Brewing Company.
Thrilling Live Auction & Door Prizes: Excitement peaked during the live auction and door prize draws, where attendees generously outbid one another on spectacular prize packages, with all proceeds directly benefiting the facility’s capital campaign.
