The Evolution of Ball Construction,
Kitchener's Premier Construction Firm Since 1923
Ball Brothers General Contractors was founded as a partnership of Harold
and Frank Ball in 1923. They incorporated the growing company as Ball
Brothers Limited in 1930. After World War II, Frank's son Bill and Harold's
eldest son Jack joined the business. Harold's other two sons, Jim and
Thom, also joined on. Their current head office on Victoria Street, Kitchener,
Ontario was actually designed by Thom and built by Jim in the late 1960's.

Ball continued to develop a reputation for quality, consistency and stability.
Their portfolio of work includes many of the largest and most challenging
projects built in Ontario over the past seven decades. They have built
hospitals, theaters and university buildings, as well as manufacturing
plants, warehouses and a wide variety of corporate and commercial buildings.
What began as Ball Brothers General Contractors in 1923, has grown into
Ball Construction with two divisions, Main Contracts Division and Special
Contracts Division. Jason Ball, President and Cameron Ball,Vice President
represent the third generation of owners. After lengthy involvement in
estimating, marketing and project management with Ball, they have assumed
responsibility for the firm's operation and strategic planning. In 2005,
after twenty-five years with Ball, Gary Hauck, Vice President and Estimating
Manager of Ball Construction joined Jason and Cameron as a partner. Jack,
Jim and Thom Ball remain involved in Ball Brothers Limited's various other
corporate efforts and holdings.
Our goal is to provide a single source for design and construction and,
to do so we have partnered with architectural and engineering firms. The
design build partnership helps us respond to changes within the construction
industry. Corporate and municipal clients demand tighter cost controls
and shorter time frames and these new relationships allow us to manage
the many elements of construction from the very beginning.
